I’ve always been drawn to nature and its aliveness under the sun. There’s a vibrancy, shimmer and luminosity almost breaking from under the surface.

My paintings manifest the translation of what I feel. The process is instinctive, almost meditative - moving between what I see, and what I had experienced.

This series captured my time in Nice when I spent days walking along the coast—feeling the wind, the warmth of the sun, the rhythm of the sea against the rocks. The blue felt endless. The light, constantly shifting in the October sun. There was a sense of calm and wonder that stayed with me.

Perhaps it was the season, or arriving there at a particular moment in my life. I had stepped away from many roles that once defined me — and found myself in a space that felt both uncertain and open.

These works emerged from that in-between, encouraged, in part, by the artists I met along my journey— who remind me to pursue what my heart desires.
